Rosebud Community Hall
To operate a community center for the benefit of the surrounding community at large providing recreation and social activities.
About
Rosebud Community Hall was originally the first rural school in the Didsbury area. The Rosebud School opened in 1899 and closed in 1953. Nine grades were taught by one teacher with up to 38 students on the role at one time.
The opening of the school building as a hall was to provide the surrounding rural community with a place that encouraged recognition of the importance of agriculture in the community as well as providing recreation and social activities for its members. The hall is equipped with 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and seating capacity for 75 and is available for rentals to the community.
The outside area is surrounded by trees and has a grass camping area for up to 15 camper/trailers (no services), fire pit, picnic tables and is available for rentals.
